Our Donuts & Dudes Event had an unexpected addition this year - Therapy Dogs!
Donuts & Dudes & Dogs was a huge hit with over 12 dads and their sons enjoying cider and donuts, outdoor games, playing with therapy dogs, and hearing an encouraging message from Kevin Troupe, a dad of 2 boys with special needs. This event is designed to give dads and their sons a fun and restful time to connect with each other and connect with others who are experiencing similar life challenges. We love providing enrichment opportunities for families impacted by developmental and intellectual disabilities to give them a place where they can be themselves.
A huge shoutout to West Michigan Therapy Dogs and their volunteer humans and pups for partnering with us for our event. Also, a big thanks to The Storehouse for providing our guests with some great door prizes including outdoor swinging chairs.
