We had a great time at our 4th Annual Planting the Seed Luncheon! Here are a few of the highlights we shared with our guests about our work in special education schools and group homes in West Michigan.
In the Schools
We are impacting over 600 students, their families, and educators in six Center Based Special Education Schools. We announced that this fall, we will be partnering with the Early Childhood Center for preschool aged students. How exciting to be able to support and encourage families at the beginning stages of their journey!
In the Group Homes
There are over 400 Adult Foster Care (AFC) Group Homes throughout Kent County. We have developed relationships with several major group home providers, and they are ready for volunteers to begin THRIVE in their homes. Training is now open for our THRIVE program, which connects small groups at churches with residents at group homes. Contact us to learn more!
Liam Doyle, a Elvis Tribute Artist, who stole the show! Art created by students and residents we serve.
If you were unable to attend the event, it is not too late to donate
to our mission of serving those impacted by developmental and intellectual disabilities!
Together we can make a difference!
